New Indian Domain Name Forum Launches

A new forum allowing people to discuss, learn about and trade Indian domain names has just launched.

Over the last two years we have seen slow and steady growth in the top-level domains for particular countries. Companies in Germany (.de), the United Kingdom (.co.uk), the United States (.us) and other countries are increasingly using these country-specific domains to brand their regional presence.

With success in Europe and America, people's attention is starting to shift towards opportunities in Asia. India's economic growth is keeping pace with China and major firms are beginning to invest very seriously in the country.

Other major country code domains already have dedicated forums and at the beginning of 2007, the time is right for a forum focusing on Indian domain names. That forum is INForum.in

The forum will concentrate on educating people about the relative usefulness of Indian's various extensions, such as .in, .co.in and .net.in, in addition to helping people and companies prepare for the upcoming release of .in domains in local languages, beginning with Tamil and Malayalam.
