Beijing, China – Lehman, Lee & Xu’s landmark case involving an air crash in Baotou, Inner Mongolia which is being litigated in the state of California, has been ranked among the 20 most influential cases in China for 2006. The unprecedented move to bring a claim in the US for the tragic incident occurring in China was the subject of much press during 2006, lead by the firm’s managing partner Edward Lehman and Chinese trial lawyer Hao Junbo, both of whom are now pursuing subsequent actions against US companies.

Among the 20 nominations by Legal Daily, China’s leading legal newspaper, the case was voted 12th. Hao Junbo was happy with the finish and is excited about the prospects of pursuing this and other transnational litigation cases, allowing Chinese litigants to obtain fair compensation for their injuries.
