Translation Service Lingo24 is delighted to announce it has been featured as a case study for Scottish schoolchildren studying Business Management. Lingo24 is one of the youngest businesses to be featured in the textbook, which includes large, established companies such as Thomson Holidays and BAA.

The case study encourages schoolchildren to think about the specific issues facing Lingo24 as a young business with limited funds. It highlights the unique nature of Lingo24’s set-up with professional translators and project managers working from home all over the world.

Peter Hagan, a senior Business Management teacher at Westhill Academy in Aberdeenshire, selected Lingo24 and wrote their entry. Mr Hagan said he felt Lingo24 was an excellent example of a young, entrepreneurial business, and that it could provide inspiration to his pupils. He was particularly impressed by the fact Lingo24 as a subject addressed so many topical issues, from corporate social responsibility (CSR), to globalisation, internet technology and EU expansion.

Christian Arno, director of Lingo24 (and son of Westhill Academy Humanities Faculty Head Lisa Arno!) commented: “We’re really happy to appear in this book, and hope that learning from our experiences can benefit young people looking to get involved in business. On a personal level, I’m particularly happy because it’s made my Mum proud of her little boy.”
