Associated Press Announced Mughelli on the NFL All Pro Team

Baltimore, MD —Ovie Mughelli may have started out in a small town with a small town college but in 2006 he has had a stellar roll out season leaving no doubt about Wake Forests being home to some of the greats to leave college ball and play in the pros. On January 9th, 2007 the Associated Press announced Mughelli on the NFL All Pro Team.

As the Baltimore Ravens main fullback, he has on three separate occasions, caught three passes in one game. Even more notably, during games against both Tennessee and Cleveland, Mughelli caught touchdown receptions. Fans and media went inside the Kansas City Chiefs game with Mughelli on the Ravens Wired and several media outlets have named him one of the best fullbacks in the league and a third alternate fullback on the AFC Pro Bowl Team. Most importantly he passionately participates by offering his time, resources and influence to support education and youth philanthropic activities, including The Ovie Mughelli Project which includes an annual football clinic and educational workshop.

The first carries of his NFL career came on Nov. 26 against Pittsburgh. He rushed four times for 21 yards. Against Pittsburgh, he had the exact same statistics, including a 12-yard run. Mughelli has made appearances on several television segments that have been featured in internet, print and television media including ESPN2's Cold Pizza, ESPN Pulse and ESPNews.

In the 2007 off season Mughelli will continue his motivational speaking with bookings throughout the U.S. He has spoken for educational institutions and private corporations motivating through messages of diversity, team work and visualizing opportunity through supporting team members.

Ovie Mughelli, of Charleston, SC., is a fullback for the Baltimore Ravens. Ovie was selected with the 134th overall pick (4th round) of the 2003 NFL Draft. The choice was a compensatory pick. He is the 2nd FB (1st was Steve Lee in the 6th round, 1997), and the 1st Wake Forest player selected in Baltimore's franchise history.
