South Shore Elder Services to hold seminar about dementia

DATELINE: BRAINTREE, MASS…South Shore Elder Services, Inc. will host a FREE seminar, “Keeping Relationships Alive through the Journey of Dementia”, on Wednesday, January 31, 2007 from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at their offices located at 159 Bay State Drive in Braintree.

Led by Beverly Moore, RN, CS, owner of Alzheimer Coaching Services, this seminar is geared toward families of those who have been diagnosed with dementia.

When a diagnosis of dementia is given, families often wonder how this will change the way they relate to their loved one. The “Keeping Relationships Alive through the Journey of Dementia” teaches families about a new approach that enables them to sustain their relationship in a positive way while making it enjoyable. A question and answer session will follow the seminar.

There is no fee to attend the seminar, but reservations are required. This counseling and education service is funded by a Title IIIE grant of the Older Americans Act through South Shore Elder Services, Inc.
