Gina Quartermaine serves up multiple wins in national cooking contests.

(PRLEAP.COM) Gina Quartermaine has been awarded Second Prize in the Robert Mondavi “Art of the Skewer Recipe Contest” sponsored by the Robert Mondavi Corporation for the recipe “Alaskan Scallops with Bacon de San Juan”. Ms. Quartermaine has also been chosen as a finalist out of 4000 entries in the Faygo Centennial Recipe Contest for the recipe “Pacific Island Grilled Ham” The recipe uses Faygo Pineapple soda as an important ingredient and will be part of the Faygo Centennial Recipe book which will be published this month.

In December 2006 the recipe for “Rolled Veal Scallops with Prosciutto and Fontina Cheese” was a finalist in the Chefclub.net contest.

Gina Quartermaine had received other cooking awards in the past including a James Beard award, Gallo/Kikkoman,Happy & Healthy, Bays English Muffins,Better Homes and Gardens, and many others. Ms. Quartermaine is a Poet and Playwright whose plays have been performed on both the East and West coasts. One of her screenplays, entitled "At Last", has been produced into a film in Canada in 2006. Ms. Quartermaine currently resides in Northern Virginia.
