After tackling the challenge of putting their combined 30-year experience on paper, Tony Jones and Olivia Romero released their new “do-it-yourself” wedding video production guide on January 19, 2007 at www.howtoweddingvideo.com.

The ebook, titled, Wedding Video Secrets: A Professional’s Guide for Doing It Yourself, is just the latest in a long list of successful professional collaborations between Jones and Romero spanning the last fifteen years.

Romero, owner of I.M.M of New Mexico, approached Jones about writing the ebook after listening to Jones frequently voice frustration over the simple, but devastating mistakes people make during the shooting of a wedding. “Time and time again, newlywed couples ask me to fix “do-it-yourself” disasters shot by well-intentioned friends or relatives,” said Jones, owner of C.A.S.K. Video Productions. “And these disasters are really avoidable.”

It took some convincing on Romero’s part to show Jones that writing an ebook was doable. “Tony was a natural for a project like this, said Romero. “In recent years he has conducted video production classes for teens in Santa Fe, New Mexico. This was just a logical “next step.”

The ebook takes the reader, step-by-step, through the entire wedding video production process. Although the ebook is comprehensive in its approach to shooting a wedding, the authors stress that a professional-looking wedding video can be boiled down to a few simple elements: good communication with key wedding participants, having basic video and audio equipment in good working order, avoiding common mistakes and knowing where the pitfalls are likely to be.

“We’ve all been to weddings before,” said Romero. “We know what happens. Our ebook just demonstrates how best to capture it on videotape.

Wedding Video Secrets: A Professional’s Guide for Doing It Yourself is available in both digital and audio formats at www.howtoweddingvideo.com, with a DVD version currently in production.

“It’s my experience that fear and anxiety come from not being prepared,” said Jones. “With this ebook, its our intention to make sure that anyone who wants to produce a professional-looking wedding video has all the tools they need to feel prepared, relaxed and confident.”
