DALLAS – Earning professional honors is getting to be a habit for Daniel Sheehan, founder of Dallas’ Daniel Sheehan & Associates. Mr. Sheehan recently earned selection to the Lawdragon 500 Leading Plaintiffs’ Lawyers in America list.

This marks the second straight year Mr. Sheehan has been honored by Lawdragon, a quarterly magazine and online publication serving the legal profession. Last year, he made the group’s prestigious list of the 500 Leading Lawyers in America.

Lawdragon publishes guides to the nation’s best attorneys and an online rating guide for lawyers every year. For the most recent nationwide survey, Lawdragon asked lawyers and their clients who they would trust with their own legal matters. Their selections make up the list of 500 outstanding plaintiffs’ attorneys, which will be highlighted in the February 1, 2007, issue of Lawdragon.

“I feel we come into this profession to help people, not to win awards,” said Mr. Sheehan. “But, when such recognition comes from your fellow lawyers, it’s humbling and makes us strive even harder to live up to it.”

Lawdragon says the list of 500 represents less than .01 percent of all the lawyers in the United States. The Lawdragon editorial staff did extensive research, aided by interviews with thousands of legal professionals and online voting. The full list of honorees is posted at www.lawdragon.com.

In addition to his dual Lawdragon honors, Mr. Sheehan has been named a Texas Super Lawyer in Texas Monthly magazine each of the past four years. Super Lawyers are selected by their peers and represent the top 5% of attorneys in Texas. His many awards are supported by his achievements in the courtroom. Mr. Sheehan has obtained more than a dozen seven-figure verdicts in business litigation. In the past five years alone, he has collected more than $23 million for clients in seven major legal malpractice cases.

Mr. Sheehan is Board Certified in Civil Trial Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. He regularly handles trials and appeals in state and federal courts, including cases before the Supreme Court of Texas and the U.S. Supreme Court.
