Ayruveda’s Beauty Care launches its inaugural NYS Education Department Licensed Esthetician Program, beginning on March 5th, 2007. For the first time ever students can enroll in an esthetician program with a holistic approach.

The course covers all the requirements of a standard 600 hours esthetician licensure program – it covers the topics of bacteriology, anatomy and physiology, nutrition, chemistry, massage techniques, facial procedures, body treatments, aromatherapy, exfoliation, hair removal, electrolysis, make up techniques, business practices and state board reviews.

“We are delighted to launch our fully accredited esthetician program, says Dr. Naina Marballi, “There is a huge demand for licensed therapists with a holistic background and Ayurvedic spa therapies are increasingly getting popular. We have designed this program in a way that it fulfills all requirements of the state board and also give students the opportunity to train in an active Ayurveda holistic day spa”.

The evening part-time program from 6pm until 10pm enables the students to keep their days available for regular work while pursuing their education. Classes will be kept to a limited number of students to ensure focused and personalized interaction. The highlight of the program is the unique opportunity to study the 600 hours and along side learn the unique Ayurveda spa therapies in the environment of a fully operational holistic day spa under the guidance of Dr. Naina Marballi. This integrates the best of modern technology and ancient wisdom in the world of beauty and wellness.

The program is taught by expert and experienced faculty headed by Dr. Naina Marballi, Ayurvedacharya, licensed esthetician and also the Director of the school. She is supported by Amita Banerjee who shares the vision of her mentor and strives to dedicate the business and school as a truly holistic establishment. Their 20 years of experience in holistic esthetics is an asset and it is their goal to share this knowledge with the students.

The program offers support in obtaining financial assistance as well as job placement assistance upon completion and certification. The program tuition cost is $6700 for 30 weeks.
