U.S. Small Business Administration’s Economic Development/Marketing Specialist set to participate as panelist at ManIIMan Business Empowerment Conference

The U.S. Small Business Administration’s Economic Development /Marketing Specialist and Veteran Business Development Officer Mr. Frank J. Dito will be participating as a panelist in Black Business Circle’s 2005 ManIIMan Men’s Empowerment Day Event (Conversations and Dialogue on Empowerment). Mr. Frank Dito serves as a resource and marketing specialist to small businesses within the district which comprises New York City, Long Island, and the upstate communities north to Sullivan and Ulster counties. The Small Business Administration offers financial assistance with programs aimed at helping small business owner gain skills required to start, manage, and grow a small enterprise. This service is provided free.

SBA assists prospective and existing small businesses in overcoming organizational, financial or other management problems and weaknesses.

The Office of Veterans Business Development offers small business support by providing free entrepreneurial assistance in the form of training and counseling in the formation, management, financing, procurement, marketing and operation of a small business to eligible veterans including service-disabled veterans. Mr. Frank Dito was the prior Regional Veterans Affairs Officer, SBA, Community Development Rep – NY City, and Deputy Director – NY City Housing and Development, HDA.

Black Business Circle will be marking June 2005 Economic Empowerment Month with an Empowerment Kick-off; on June 1, 2005. An Economic Empowerment Month After-work Networking Social Mixer kick-off will be held in collaboration with The Elliot Tomlin Foundation.

The After-work Networking Social Mixer Empowerment Kick-off will be held on Wednesday, June 1, 2005 and will begin at 6:00 pm and end at 10:00 pm. The Networking Social Mixer Economic Empowerment Kick-off will be held at The Trey Whitfield School located at 48-60 Williams Avenue Brooklyn, New York 11207.

US Small Business Administration Economic Specialist/Marketing Specialist will be speaking at the Men’s Empowerment Day "Man 2 Man" segment which will be held on Saturday, June 11, 2005 at Greater Bright Light Baptist Church 1320 Sutter Avenue, Brooklyn, New York.

The event will begin at 12:00 noon and end at 4:00 pm. Men Empowerment Day will include discussions for men on Faith and Business Empowerment, Black Male Empowerment, Community Empowerment, Legal Empowerment, Image and Public Relations Empowerment, etc.
