In this fantasy tale of old heroes gone adventuring, Mr. Rhea weaves an adventure story about how these heroic fools go in search of a child’s rumor of four legendary warriors who have returned to burn down the world. “If there’s a message in the book”, comments Mr. Rhea, “it is that proper hygiene is often more important than chasing down evil villains bent on world conquest.”

The Red Regiment: Foundations is written for the modern reader with a busy schedule through short chapters, clear markings, and a slimmer, portable paper size. Drawing on continuity ten years in the making, the text contains cultural references, interesting lore, as well as plenty of humor to engage and entertain.

The story for The Red Regiment foundations grew out of a chance meeting in fall of 2004, which led the aspiring Mr. Rhea toward the production of a full series based on a continuity he developed and was contributed to by over forty people over the years. “A story never happens in a vacuum,” Mr. Rhea says, “this is one of those remarkable situations where a story wasn’t just assembled in a notebook, but evolved from conversations with people over the course of a decade. That fall of 2004 led me down the path I’m on today.”

As for her immediate future Mr. Rhea says that he’s anticipating the next book to be released this year drawing on all the lessons learned in the production of this first book and those of his company, Rhea Studios. “Our Studio has many talented people working to bring these stories to life. I look forward to announcing these new projects and showing more of the world a way to rediscover adventure!”
