Content Done Better Blog Finds New Home

January 29, 2007 (OLATHE, KS) Copywriter Carson Brackney has announced that the popular Content Done Better Blog has moved from its previous location on Google’s Blogger.com service to its own domain at http://www.contentdonebetter.com.

The Content Done Better Blog, which was recently named one of the “Top Ten Blogs for Writers” by Writing White Papers and which had made several other must-read lists has been relocated subsequent to accidental deletion at its previous free host.

Although fragments of the original blog still remain in place at its old address, it is, according to Brackney, “dead.” “Officially, according to Blogger, the Content Done Better Blog doesn’t really exist there. Some tattered remains linger, but the site is inoperable.”

The Content Done Better Blog, reincarnated as a WordPress-based site, will now reside permanently at the primary Content Done Better domain. “I’m working to integrate the previous static site content with the blog and I think it’ll work out well when all is said and done,” Brackney stated.

The blog’s unintentional deletion led Brackney to issue a warning to other bloggers about the risks associated with “free hosts and working too late at night,” which Brackney describes as “a potentially deadly combination.”

Although Brackney was able to recover cached copies of all previous posts, he doesn’t plan on re-publishing all of them. “I’ll occasionally reach into that bag and post ‘greatest hits’ or ‘something from the vault,’ but I’m not interested in rebuilding an exact replica of the old site.”

He invites all previous readers of the Content Done Better Blog to visit the new location and hopes that “regulars will update their links to reflect the change.”
