Mr. Allen is also responsible for the immediate and ongoing evolution of RFG research, through models that provide programmatic approaches for IT executives to holistically manage their people, platforms, processes, and products and services. The evolution of RFG's service offerings will continually integrate both research and consulting to offer clients whatever help is needed to achieve excellence and deliver consistently high business value.

"Consistency, repeatability, and scalability are as critical to RFG's relationships with its clients as they are to effective IT management and vendor strategies," Allen said. "I'm excited and gratified to join a company that values its client relationships as highly as RFG does, and look forward to developing and implementing programs that increase the business value of those relationships for RFG's clients."

"Bruce's analytical, managerial, and operational experience enables him to bring a unique, valuable set of skills and perspectives to our company and clients," said Calvin Braunstein, Chairman/CEO and Executive Director of Research at RFG. "We are very excited to have him on board, and believe he will help us strengthen and broaden our service portfolio and our ability to deliver the 'high-touch' access and intimacy our clients have come to expect."

Prior to joining RFG, Mr. Allen worked for Meta Group, where he created, built, and managed two of its primary service offerings. His span of coverage included all aspects of infrastructure and operations, with a strong bent toward collaboration between IT and non-IT business executives, and well-defined technical architectures to guide such efforts. He also worked with the company's Executive Directions service to provide advice, support, and training to CIOs and other IT executives. Mr. Allen has also worked closely with leading financial services companies, assisting in both tactical and strategic efforts that included advisory help, coaching, and hands-on consulting.

During his tenure at Meta Group, Mr. Allen authored a book entitled "Building Operations Excellence." This book addresses every component of IT infrastructure, operations, and planning, with a structured approach and model for enabling IT executives to transform while performing. Bruce has also written numerous articles for the business media and industry journals.

Before Meta Group, Mr. Allen logged some 17 years in the data processing arm of the insurance industry, working with industry leaders such as CIGNA and The Hartford. His responsibilities included managerial, operational, and technical roles, providing a well-rounded base of "in-the-trenches" experience to apply to his role at RFG.
