LondonTopic.ca, London, Ontario’s newest and fastest-growing online news site, has taken another step forward in its content delivery. The website has added a video component to the delivery of its news, events, and overall content. The test run involved the appreciated cooperation of the London Community Players and The Palace Theatre, 710 Dundas St.

Editorial director Ross McDermott said the introduction of this feature will add a new depth and dimension to its local and breaking news content delivery.

“The video will allow us to bring the reader further into the story. It’s a complimentary enhancement to an already strong content, and we will use it to its full potential when covering the happenings of the Forest City,” he said.

In addition to its use in content delivery, LondonTopic.ca plans to work with businesses and organizations in using the technology to send their messages to the reading, and now viewing, public.

Jodi Bryans, advertising sales director with LondonTopic.ca, said she recognizes the unlimited potential the medium has in serving the site’s valued advertisers.

“Visitors love video,” she said, “just take a look at U-Tube. What we’ve done at LondonTopic.ca is exactly what advertisers need. We’re offering them a method with a proven track record and one that will achieve results.”
