North Carolina Association Of Nurse Anesthetists Releases Podcast Discussing Efforts To Preserve CRNAs In North Carolina

(PRLEAP.COM) RALEIGH, N.C. – The North Carolina Association of Nurse Anesthetists (NCANA) has announced the release of a podcast addressing the ongoing efforts to preserve Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs) in North Carolina. In the podcast, Julie Ann Lowery, president of the NCANA, discusses a statewide survey that found state residents collectively against the concept of licensing Anesthesiologist Assistants (AAs) in North Carolina. Lowery also outlines steps to help North Carolina residents become more involved with upcoming legislation that would jeopardize the preservation of state CRNAs. The podcast is now available for download at http://www.brogan.com/podcasts/ncana/JulieLoweryPodcast2.mp3.

“North Carolina residents have collectively voiced their opinion against licensing AAs to practice in our state,” said Lowery. “There are specific ways that individuals in our state can become more involved with this cause, and it is important to identify these steps and begin to take action towards the overall safety of North Carolina patients.”
