February 02, 2007 (PRLEAP.COM) Technology News
VCT IT Ltd announces the launch of a new website dedicated to Computer Security aimed particularly at small businesses. Computer Security is an all encompassing term that in reality means very little to the general user. Our definition any external influence which could or would damage any data or prevent the proper use of the machine. In reality this is the prevention of viruses, spyware, malware Trojans, or keyloggers.

To achieve this goal the user must be engaged in the process because despite the availability of anti virus and anti spyware software, the prime protector of the machine is the user. This because the 3 main causes of these reaching the computer are Web browsing, misleading information and E-Mail. Web browsing is easy because it is a common practice but the user must be aware at all times what is happening. Misleading information is when a website wants to load an application, ask permission and is refuse. It then just keeps asking and keeps on being refused. Until the final time when if it is refused it loads because refusal this time means acceptance because of wording. Finally E-Mail because of all the various method employed in getting the payload delivered.

The user has the prime role in keeping there machines safe by initially staying alert and vigilant whilst using the internet or E-Mail but also they know how there machine performs during there daily tasks. Therefore it is them who would notice any changes in the performance of the machine. A sign of an infected machine. As now most machines have anti virus software as standard we have created the first part of the site dedicated to deal with spyware. http://spyware.bug-alert.com Here you will find more details on a product that will assist in checking and removal if necessary of any spyware. You will also receive a free e-book on Computer Security with our compliments.
