Diane Fish, owner of Twin Fish Interline Travel, has been nominated as one of the top 100 travel agents by Royal Caribbean International, which has launched a national search for the “Godmother” of the Liberty of the Seas.

The Liberty of the Seas, the cruise line’s newest Freedom-class ship, is a 160,000-ton, 3,634-guests (double occupancy) ship, which is scheduled to debut in May 2007. Historically an honor reserved for heads of state, politicians and celebrities, Godmothers officially give ships their names and serve as guiding spirits.

After considering thousands of special travel agents the cruise line selected the top 100. The submissions were judged by a panel of Royal Caribbean executives, leaders of travel industry trade associations and travel publications, travel agents, and the Godmother of the Freedom of the Seas. The judges selected the finalists based on courage, determination, inspiration and dedication.

According to Ms. Fish, “A main factor in my success is my commitment to the travel business and the clients I serve. I love what I do and enjoy coming to work daily. It has afforded me a positive attitude where I can represent my suppliers with enthusiasm.”
The top 100 agents will be voted on in March 2007. Once the nominations are narrowed down, an appointed panel of industry experts will handpick 10 semi-finalists. After an additional screening process, three exceptional agents will be selected. Then the public and agents will be asked to vote for the winner. The Godmother will be announced at the Cruise Line International Association conference in Fort Lauderdale, March 30-April 1.
