VineHosting™, The Vine Network moves into new Data Center and increases its ability to provide top quality services to Christian Ministries across the nation and world.

(PRLEAP.COM) Feb 8, 2007 — Vine Hosting, a WebEmpoweredChurch ASP, Hosting & Colocation provider to non-profit Christian oriented organizations announces that it completed relocating all of its Newark based business operations and physical resources to a new facility, effective Feb 1, 2007. The move will allow the privately-held company to more than quadruple its space capacity for providing co-location and other data center services, while taking advantage of the real estate downturn to obtain “very good long term rates.”

“We will have a brand new facility, yet have no associated costs for obtaining the facility,” said VineHosting’s Network Operations Director, Glenn Kelley. “Most companies spent millions of dollars building and maintaining Data Centers years ago and are still trying to recoup their investment through customer charges.”

Kelley emphasized that obtaining access to this “first-class Tier 1 facility” at a minimal cost will put the organization in a unique position to provide top level services with minimum cost.
“We’ll combine the savings with our superior level of service to provide great value for the money for our clientèle.”

Located at 401 North Broad Street, in Philadelphia, the new Vine Hosting Data Center is housed within the same building as other Top Level providers including: XO Communication, Level 3, Nextel, SunGuard and Internap, to name a few.
Being housed in a Tier 1, telephone-quality data center designed with the requirements stringent enough to handle a 911 call sets the Vine Network apart from most Hosting providers across the nation.

The Broad Street Carrier Hotel is a more than 1 million square foot facility offering colocation, interconnection and PAIX Internet exchange and peering services. The Vine Network DC is Housed within an 14-story building located just north of Center City, four blocks north of City Hall, and across the street from the Philadelphia Inquirer Building.

Features of this site include multiple connectivity and interconnection options, diverse fiber entry points and multiple layers of security including lobby security, real-time video surveillance with 24x7 monitoring, mantrap, card key access, alarm/key monitoring, and CCTV surveillance. Built in 1930, it is one of the largest buildings in town, taking up an entire city block with 1.3 million square feet of space.

“This will be a fantastic data center,” Kelley said. “In terms of quality, it will rival some of the larger ones across the nation. We’ll be able to house at least five times as much co-location and at least 10 times the amount of shared hosting offerings with this new facility.”
