BridesmaidTailor.com Announces Extension to Free Bridesmaid Dress Contest

February 09, 2007 (PRLEAP.COM) Business News
BridesmaidTailor.com recently announced an innovative contest for brides-to-be that would make it possible for them to win dresses for their bridesmaids. Due to the recent earthquakes in Taiwan, which interrupted their Internet connection for several weeks, the company is extending the deadline.

With the high cost associated with getting married, brides-to-be are looking for as many ways as possible to save money on their wedding day. While bridesmaids traditionally purchase their own dresses, many brides are deciding to pay for the dresses in order to get the exact dresses they want for their special day. Yet others make the purchase in order to avoid placing a burden on their friends and family.

In order to help brides-to-be with the costs associated with their weddings, BridesmaidTailor.com announced a new contest that would reward the winner with up to six custom made bridesmaids’ dresses. To enter the contest, the bride-to-be must write an essay of no more than 200 words about bridesmaids’ dresses and she must be planning a 2007 wedding. Although the company is based in Hong Kong, there are no restrictions regarding the bride-to-be’s country of residence.

“We originally had a deadline of January 31, 2007,” said Cecilia Tang, marketing manager. “But after having our Internet connection disrupted, we felt it would be best to extend the deadline. That way, any woman that wanted to enter the contest can still participate. We encourage anyone that previously sent an entry to send it again in order to be sure we received it. We are still looking for creative ideas when it comes to bridesmaid dresses, ranging from why the bride-to-be thinks she deserves the dresses to innovate designs or ideas for bridesmaid dresses.”

The new deadline for the contest is March 15, 2007. The winner will be announced on March 31, 2007. BridesmaidTailor.com is an online store that specializes in creating custom made bridesmaid dresses. The company has been in business for eight years and has created thousands of bridesmaid dresses for bridesmaids around the world.
