Komen Houston Affiliate to Hold Laugh for the Cure Comedy Show

Houston, TX – The Susan G. Komen for the Cure Houston Affiliate is ready for a laugh at the Laugh for the Cure comedy show Thursday, April 5, 2007 at 6:00 p.m. at The Comedy Showcase. The goal of Laugh for the Cure is to provide a fun way to help raise funds to increase awareness of breast health issues and work to eliminate breast cancer as a life-threatening disease.

Guests will have the opportunity to support the fight against breast cancer by bidding on items in a silent auction, and then they can sit back and enjoy an entertaining PG rated comedy show featuring two hilarious stand up comedians.

The show will be kicked off with a performance by Ken Evans who has opened up for Joan Rivers and Weird Al Yankovich and performed at numerous clubs throughout the United States including The Punchline, Improv, Funny Bones and LaffFactory. The headlining comedian for the evening is Al Ernst. He has been a headline act for Carnival Cruise Lines, and his TV credits include all major networks and cable from CNN, TNN, ESPN, A&E, Comedy Central and HBO.

Laugh for the Cure was founded in 2002 by a group of volunteers whose lives had been touched in some way by breast cancer.
