Publisher Marketplace Books has announced that Martin Pring will be the recipient of this year’s Traders’ Hall of Fame award to be presented at the 2007 Traders’ Forum in Washington, D.C. The Forum, which will be held April 1 through April 3 at the Capital Hilton, features elite speakers in trading and investing and is the traditional venue for presentation of this award.

The Trader’s Hall of Fame Lifetime Achievement award was created in 2001 to recognize the contributions of educators and traders to the field of options trading, technical analysis, or trading systems and strategies. This contribution can be earned through a number of ways, including the development of exceptional analytical software or trading systems. Individuals are also selected for their excellence in overall trading performance, or by their demonstrated expertise in futures, options, technical analysis, or related fields. All recipients have achieved preeminence in their field and are held in high regard by both their peers and the public.

Says John Boyer, Vice President and Head of Operations, “It will be a real honor to present this award to Martin. He has been such an inspirational figure in the field of technical analysis… he fully deserves to be recognized for his groundbreaking research and his obvious love for trading.”

Earning this award puts Pring in choice company. Previous winners included: Jack Schwager, Larry McMillan, John Murphy, Sheldon Natenberg, Robert Prechter, James Bittman, Bernie Schaeffer, and just last year, George Fontanills.

A pioneer in the field of technical analysis, Pring will be recognized this year for his unending dedication to the field. He is probably best known for his seminal Technical Analysis Explained, used by many technical societies around the world as a teaching tool for certification programs. In addition to 14 books and numerous articles, he has held workshops for traders in Asia, Australia, Africa, Europe, and North America and has lectured at several universities, including Harvard Medical School, the Darden Business School, Golden Gate University, and the University of Richmond. He is also editor of Martin Pring's Intermarket Review, a monthly technical letter that forecasts the world's principal financial markets from a long-term perspective. ###
