Legend Press MySpace page proving a major hit

February 16, 2007 (PRLEAP.COM) Business News
Legend Press has reported that its MySpace page, www.myspace.com/legendpress, which was launched in January, has already proven a major hit with a growing following and a subsequent 70 per cent growth in website views over the first month.

The fast-growing independent, which is the youngest-run mainstream fiction publisher in the UK, has generated a keen following among writers, book-lovers, booksellers and members of the general public from around the world. In addition to increase in web visits, the MySpace world has also generated several new opportunities and partnerships for the publisher.

Tom Chalmers, 27-year-old Managing Director of Legend Press, commented: “We were optimistic that MySpace would suit the way we work but are thrilled with how quickly it has contributed to the significant growth in our profile.

“We’re also pleased that our blog is proving helpful, useful and hopefully (on occasions!) amusing to many people in the book world. We plan to keep it as wide-ranging as possible and are happy to address any publishing or book-related questions or issues from MySpace viewers. One of our main aims at Legend Press is to be as open, honest and interactive as possible as we continue to grow and develop.”
