HIC's gone VW crazy, VW mad

2007 is the year Herts Insurance Consultants (HIC) has gone VW crazy. It’s sponsoring no less than five major VW shows between March and September. HIC offers specialist insurance for VW owners, often covering models and modifications that other insurance companies won’t touch, including a 10% discount to recognised owner’s Club members.

“Lot’s of our staff are VW owners. Just take a look at our website,” says Andy Morton of HIC. “And they are always raving about the VW scene, so we decided to make HIC a big and active part of it.”

To kick off the year HIC is sponsoring the legendry VolksWorld Show at Sandown Park on March 24 – 25, 2007 where there are hundreds of Buses, Beetles, Karmann Ghias and Buggies on show. Don’t miss the ever-popular Bug Stuff where nearly 100 people will cram in and on a Bug.

There’s hardly time to get the car home and give it a bit of a tweak before the next show, VWs @ Standsted rolls around on April 14, 2007. HIC’s sponsorship means the show has been able to revamp and expand for its second year. Although this is a one-day show, there are camping arrangements so owners can hang around and have a drink or two without worrying about getting home.

Then on May 20 there’s the Battlesbridge VW Show organised by the Essex Vee Dubbers VW Club where HIC is sponsoring all the trophies. Another quick turnaround and on 16 – 17 June there’s the big GTI International 2007 at Bruntingthorpe, where HIC is sponsoring the Club display. This year it’s the show’s 20th year so expect some special birthday celebrations.

Finally, to top it all off there’s Vanfest 2007, the world’s largest event for VW transporter vans. Vanfest runs from 7 – 9 September, 2007 featuring a Saturday night packed with live entertainment.
