NEW YORK, February 17, 2007 – Oliver Frohnauer, director of Quantock-represented ‘The Last Days’ (‘Die Letzten Tage’ ) has been nominated in Berlin for the “Studio Hamburg Nachwuchspreis” (Studio Hamburg Newcomer’s Award) for Best Director.

A graduate of the Baden-Württemberg Film Academy in Ludwigsburg, Oliver Frohnauer is one of just three candidates in Germany vying for the 2007 directing prize which will be announced in April.

This high accolade for Frohnauer’s direction of the World War II short-drama follows his Grand Award earlier this month for the Bond-inspired promotional film ‘Just in Time’ at the New York Festivals TV Programming, Promotions, Film and Video Awards.

Set in the closing stages of the war, ‘The Last Days’ features two surviving members of an American B-17 bomber crew seeking shelter behind German lines. When they stumble upon an enemy deserter in an abandoned farmhouse, the ensuing incomprehension, mutual distrust, loathing and fear combines with a fierce will to survive and puts the men’s humanity to the ultimate test.
