West Caldwell, NJ – February 22, 2007 – Twenty-one years after its first incarnation as a college radio show, Anything But Monday (ABM) has been developed into a premium comedy podcast premiering February 19, 2007.

Billed as “The First Podcast Worth Paying For,” the Anything But Monday Show podcast features the “angry, surreal” comedy of co-hosts Frank Nora and Mike Masters as they offer their humorous perspectives on current events, celebrities, politics, pop culture, and more. The show’s many features include “Weekly World Perceptions and Ponderings”, “Mike’s Brilliant Ideas”, “Piss Poor Movie Reviews”, and a monthly “Box O’ Cash” promotion where ABM Show listeners can win prizes. The show’s creators also promise high levels of audience participation and invite listeners to help customize show segments through feedback via email, Skype, web-based audio comments, and phone calls.

The Anything But Monday radio show, created and hosted by (then) students Frank Nora and Mike Masters, premiered in 1986 on the campus of Drew University in Madison, NJ. The pair’s weekly radio show on station WMNJ became immediately popular with listeners on and off campus who appreciated the show’s stream of consciousness, often improvisational humor format at a time when most college radio consisted of classic rock and alternative music mixed with campus news and announcements. The ABM show’s popularity led to the publication of the spin-off Anything But Monday magazine the next year. After graduation (and the folding of the print publication in 1989) Nora went on to became a pioneer in the development and promotion of podcasting, experimenting with the medium and producing and publishing some of the nation’s earliest recurring podcasts throughout the late-nineties.

“We’re very excited to offer our old fans and the rest of the public this latest incarnation of the Anything But Monday brand,” states Masters. “We’re confident that the re-pairing of Frank and myself, and the addition of a very talented ABM Show creative team, will give the public an alternative to traditional media.”
