Manchester based UKFast has once again beaten the competition to be crowned the UK’s Best Business Host. The ISPA awards, which celebrate excellence in Internet services, were presented to businesses from across the UK at the Marriott Hotel, Grosvenor Square, London on Thursday 15 February.

For the third year running, the judges praised UKFast particularly for network performance and an emphasis on customer care. The ISP beat off competition from Pipex owned Donhost and Keen Computers as well as North West rival Opal. Managing director Lawrence Jones is thrilled to have made it three in a row.

“The team works extraordinarily hard day in day out to improve all areas of the business from our network through to the very best in customer care,” said Jones. “We’ve developed a raft of great new value added products which give our clients a competitive advantage and a level of service you would expect from a premium provider.”

All of the finalist’s systems were extensively monitored by Epitiro Technologies and placed on a shortlist of five. Industry judges then scrutinised the top players and deemed UKFast to provide the most complete package.

An ISPA spokesperson said, “The judges agreed that UKFast can cater for the hosting requirements of any business. It was felt that UKFast can provide good security and tech support with a solid awareness of the applications necessary to run a successful business.”

Jones, who also presented the Internet Hero award to Annie Mullins of Vodafone, believes it is not only a victory for his team but the UK’s regional cities. “So many of this year’s finalists hailed from outside of London and it’s fantastic to see that the cutting edge benchmark of our digital future is still being set by us northern folk.”
