ATLANTA TECH VISIONARY PREDICTS NEXT “BIG THING”

February 22, 2007 (PRLEAP.COM) Technology News
ATLANTA – Chris Klaus, a Co-Founder of ISS which was recently sold to IBM for $1.3 Billion, predicted today at a keynote address that 3-D digital environments would transcend the entertainment space and become commonplace in the everyday office environment. Soon your company may be interacting with your employees and customers online through avatars in a three dimensional environment, conducting meetings, providing support, service and even sales in a far more interactive manner. Mr. Klaus recently founded Kaneva, an online “canvas” where anyone can showcase and share their passions, interests and talents with a virtual world. At the Technology Executives Roundtable (www.TERAtlanta.com) he described how IBM and other leading companies are beginning to explore the savings and speed of meetings, service and sales in virtual showrooms.

Mr. Klaus is regarded as one of the world's foremost security experts and technology visionaries. During his TER address, he discussed how the new wave of virtual environments can potentially have an even bigger impact on the business landscape. “TER was honored to have an extraordinary spokesperson in Chris Klaus to keynote our meeting this month,” said Michael Price, president of TER. “Innovation in using technology to cut costs and provide faster deliverables in business is critical to the expansion of the technology sector. Mr. Klaus provided great clarity in describing how virtual environments which have become a hit with games by the millions in the last two years will transcend the game industry and have a strong impact upon many businesses.”

TER regularly covers emerging and forward thinking topics such as Business 3.0, provides subject matter expertise and thought provoking content. Following the monthly meeting, TER held a post-meeting workshop on driving better sales and cash flow for technology companies. For more information on TER, please visit: www.ter-atlanta.com
