Highland Homes Donates $1,700 to United Services

(PRLEAP.COM) February 23, 2007: ST. PETERS, Mo. – Highland Homes donated $1,700 to United Services at the groundbreaking for Highland Park. Highland Park is the University City-based builder’s first development in St. Charles County, and the builder looks forward to giving back to the local community.

“We’re excited to bring this unique project to the St. Charles area, and we look forward to working with local community organizations,” Bob Shallenberger, co-founder of Highland Homes, said.

Highland Homes is bringing the “true urbanism” concept to the area, and Highland Park will also be Missouri’s first GREEN residential community.

“Community involvement is important to Highland Homes, and United Services is a great organization to partner with,” John Cavanagh, co-founder of Highland Homes, said.

The $1,700 donation will be used to sponsor United Services’ After-Hours at its annual golf tournament, an important fundraiser for the organization. The tournament is scheduled for May 18. For more information, visit www.unitedsrvcs.org.

United Services has been serving children with disabilities in the St. Charles area for more than 30 years. With facilities in St. Peters and Dardenne Prairie and a staff of 200, the organization provides early intervention, family education, inclusive environment, and progressive teaching and therapy services to help children reach their fullest potential and become an integral part of the community.

Established in 2003 by John Cavanagh and Bob Shallenberger, Highland Homes has rapidly become a $15 million company, as well as the #1 fastest-growing private company in St. Louis. As St. Louis’ 22nd largest homebuilder, Highland Homes quickly found its niche building new homes that complement existing communities in the general St. Louis Central Corridor as well as in St. Charles County. Highland Homes is a green builder that develops environmentally-responsible homes which appeal to customers’ lifestyles with “urban friendly” floor plans and extensive options.
