Former native Kansan Dr. Venus Lee Will Appear at Omega Bookstore once again in KCMO on March 10, 2007

Venus Lee is the author of Hopefully Ever After, In Search of Healing and her new release is scheduled to come out in late May 2007, Life and Death an Assassin Story.

People in Kansas City may know her as Venus Thomas, the high school debate child from Wyandotte High School, class of 88. Today her name is Venus Lee and some people know her as Dr. Venus Lee the author of Hopefully Ever After, In Search of Healing, the founder of Team Outreach Homeward Bound, Inc. and the game board designer of Purity for Pulitzer Newsletter Game.

As the founder of Team Outreach Homeward Bound, Inc. she along with the outreach team is responsible for doing all that can be done in order to keep runaways from running away and providing resources and information to those that have already felt the need to run. Their outreach efforts are to assist runaway youth, abused children, and homeless street youth in shelter, case management, advocacy, phone intake, sports and administrative support, to provide for youth in need of food, clothing, direction through leadership, counseling support and medical information.

Her Purity for Pulitzer Newsletter Game was designed as a study guide for teens and young adults in the form of a game. She created this game because she was looking for a way to study purity without boring teenagers and young adults.

She had the honor of meeting some old and many new faces in front of Omega Bookstore located at 400 NW Barry Road, Kansas City, MO the day after Thanksgiving 2006 and have been ask to return once more to Omega Bookstore on March 10, 2007 from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.
