(PRLEAP.COM) FLIGHT Centre’s website, flightcentre.com.au, has landed a triple crown after being judged Australia’s number one travel agency site by visits for the third consecutive year.flightcentre.com.au Thursday night built on its successes of 2004 and 2005 when it again collected first place in its category at independent internet monitor Hitwise’s annual awards for 2006.
According to Hitwise’s records, flightcentre.com.au attracted more visits than any other Australian travel agency website last year.
Flight Centre Limited general manager marketing Colin Bowman said the award reflected the company’s ongoing commitment to improving its customer offering across all sales channels.
Mr Bowman said enhancements to flightcentre.com.au during 2006 included:
• The addition of Trans Tasman airfare booking capabilities
• Creation of a mobile phone friendly mini website
• Continued expansion of the successful Search.Compare.Book. campaign, which now includes car hire product.
"Our online teams can be proud of their achievements in constantly improving flightcentre.com.au’s transactional and informational capabilities for our online customers and in generating enquiry for our Flight Centre shop network," he said.
