NEW YORK - Canadian footwear company Holey Soles is partnering with Soles4Souls to provide 100,000 pairs of shoes worldwide to people in need. The donation will be the largest single donation in history for Soles4Souls, a nonprofit organization that coordinates footwear donations around the world.

"Holey Soles has made an incredible gesture that will impact one hundred thousand lives," said Wayne Elsey, founder of Soles4Souls, in a Thursday press release. "These wonderful shoes will be distributed to people in several African countries, as well as Central and South America, and we couldn't be more pleased to deliver these shoes to people who will greatly appreciate the gift."

"By donating 100,000 pairs of our shoes to Soles4Souls, Holey Soles is doing its part to help those who need it the most," Joyce Groote, president and CEO of Holey Soles, said in the release. "Helping to improve the quality of life of those in need complements our vision of being a lifestyle products company. It also embodies our corporate culture of giving back and making a difference where we can. We are also grateful that TNT Freight Management has contributed to shipping these products to those in need."

According to the release, the official announcement of the donation will be made at the February WSA Show in Las Vegas.
