Southern Heart Band of Arab, AL To Perform At The Third Annual Southeast Whitfield High Bluegrass Jamboree '07
(PRLEAP.COM) The Southern Heart Band of Arab, Alabama will be performing at this year’s third annual Southeast High School Jamboree to be held in Dalton, GA on Saturday March 31, 2007. This regional bluegrass band formed in 2003, has played at festivals all over the Southeast and opened for several heavyweight bands, including Rhonda Vincent and the Rage at the Long Branch Opry in Arab in 2005.
Composed of Belinda Carpenter (vocals and banjo), Rhonda Beam Kelley (vocals and fiddle), Ray Westmorland (guitar, mandolin, and vocals), Brandon Wilemon (guitar, harmonica, and vocals), and bass player Don Kelley who also sings, Southern Heart has won the hearts of audiences wherever they have performed with their excellent harmonies and playing abilities.
Other bands performing at the SHS Jamboree are: The Barker Brothers of Copperhill, Tennessee, The Mueller Family from Waterville, Maine (six children ages 5-19); Goldheart of Fairfax, Virginia; Etowah Junction of North Georgia, and Garrett Arb and the Grassy Mountain Boys of Dalton, Georgia.
There will be concessions, door prizes, free parking and jam areas. SEHS is conveniently located off I-75, approximately 85 miles north of Atlanta and 35 miles south of Chattanooga, TN, at 1954 Riverbend Road SE just off of the Dalton South by-pass. The music will begin at 3:00 p.m. and last until 10:00 p.m. Tickets are $8.00 for adults, $5.00 for students under 18, and children under 6 will be admitted free.
