Having left the wealth of quiet breezes and colorful foliage she was in for a change when her arrival in Brooklyn, New York because this was a time of “free love” & high energy, and it went against everything she wanted to teach her children. The dichotomy of these two cultures was sure to put her through complete culture shock and influenced how she raised her two daughters Nadine, a horoscope writer who isn’t quite set on being the next “Ms. Cleo”, & Antoinette who wants to party all the time.

Meanwhile she wants nothing more than to maintain the bond she has with her loving granddaughters who are about to drive her up the wall for their love for music videos, video games, and the R & B sensation Usher. Ms. Rogers believes that with prayer and time she’ll get what she wants; daughters working on Wall Street and grandchildren singing in the church choir. Something’s got to change!
