Industrial Design Students Learning Skills for Success Careers

(PRLEAP.COM) There is a new generation of designers pursuing careers in Industrial Design and The Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale offers a Bachelor of Science program degree with the educational expertise of industry professionals.

Of all 2005 Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale Industrial Design program graduates, available for employment, 95.8% were employed within six months of graduation.

Students are learning how to design and create car models, construct sets and backdrops for stage and movies. They not only think about the next breakout toy, they design it and then get it manufactured, they craft the newest lounge chair or refrigerator.

A curriculum constructed by professionals in the field emphasizes the process of how to design, allowing the individual design process to evolve and emerge by combining creativity, ergonomics, idea generation, historic and current ideological influences, production knowledge, and communication skills, which are all working components of the industrial design process.
