RolePlay Gateway and GWing Roleplay Announce Merger

(PRLEAP.COM) RolePlayGateway and GWing Roleplay have announced a merger in the interest of roleplayers worldwide. Conglomerating to produce a role playing forum and chat for roleplayers, the new RolePlayGateway emerges as a premier roleplaying hub.

Both GWing Roleplay and RolePlayGateway began with the objective of synthesizing the grassroots movement of interactive role playing via the Internet and building free, welcoming environments to house a growing community of role players. Since their respective geneses, both communities have grown in members and the services they have to offer, but rather than become competitors and further subdivide the already scattered menagerie that defines interactive roleplay, they have chosen to band together and create a single, thriving entity.

The two rapidly evolving role playing websites, GWing Roleplay and RolePlayGateway, have announced a merger. It has been stated that both role playing sites feel they have a similar goal and audience, and that in pooling their resources and efforts together they will make a more dynamic community and a richer environment for role players to engage in.

After being created in the fall of 2005, GWing Roleplay has skyrocketed in popularity within the role playing community. Role players from all across the globe have visited and played on the site. Including role playing forums, role playing chat, and several services geared specifically towards role players, GWing Roleplay has grown to a sizable community since its launch. Having added features specifically for role players and writers alike, new members have been continually drawn in to the role playing site.

RolePlayGateway, founded two months after GWing, has also been very popular among role players. RolePlayGateway offers table top role players an online community where they could develop worlds, share resources like maps and illustrations.

The owners of the two roleplaying sites realized that their roleplaying communities could be better served by amalgamating the two, and have since taken the necessary steps in transforming two smaller sites into a thriving community where players can feel free to express themselves creatively, build upon story arcs, or engage in interactive combat.

The prospect of role players gaining access to more features and services has many long-time gamers excited. A role player in GWing Roleplay’s chat room had nothing but praise, claiming, "Role playing reaches a new level with the two role playing communites combined. It really does promise new topics on the forums, an increase in role player activity, and plenty of additional goodies!"

With the two sites combined, the resulting role playing site will have the ability to expand into areas previously untouched due to the lack of resources. Multi User Dungeons (MUDs), Massively Multiplayer Online Role Playing Games (MMORPGs), and a greater pool of community members contributing to the freeform role playing experience will construct a role playing powerhouse, capable of meeting the needs of role players worldwide.
