The Wayne Brown Institute (WBI) today announced that registration is now open for its next “Deal Forum” educational and networking event, to be held on Wednesday, March 21, 2007 from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. at Cafe Trio Cottonwood in Salt Lake City, Utah.

The Deal Forum provides early-stage companies an opportunity to receive advice and mentoring from venture professionals. This educational experience helps companies prepare to raise capital, write effective business plans and organize efficient presentations for their fundraising efforts.

“Our Deal Forum event provides entrepreneurs with access to the capital and advice from venture professionals they need to accelerate the growth of their early-stage companies,” said Brad Bertoch, president of WBI. “We invite all interested parties to come and watch the venture process in action and learn the basics of building a fundraising presentation.”

The Deal Forum prepares entrepreneurs to more effectively present themselves to investors. Through attending the Forum they will:

· Better understand how to make a positive first impression in the venture community,
· Discover what makes their deals attractive and/or unattractive to investors,
· Increase their relevant networking opportunities,
· Experience candid, real-world feedback following the companies’ presentations,
· Receive condensed, world-class training at a minimal cost, and
· Accelerate their quest for capital.

At the event, each presenting company will be given 10 minutes to present their business opportunities to a panel of angel investors. The panel will then analyze the strengths and weaknesses of each company’s presentation. Registered attendees are invited to observe the presentations and mingle afterwards.

Sponsors for the two-hour forum include NASDAQ (www.nasdaq.com) and Zions Bank (www.zionsbank.com). The cost to attend is just $10. Business attire is requested. For more information, please visit www.venturecapital.org.
