JAJAH Announces Joyent Integration

March 16, 2007 (PRLEAP.COM) Business News
Mountain View, CA – March 2007 – JAJAH today announced a partnership with Joyent, the innovative on-demand applications provider. The two companies will integrate voice into Joyent’s Connector, the award-winning collaboration and backup suite. With JAJAH integrated into Joyent’s Connector, customers will be able to make free and long distance calls over regular phones with a single click.

"As the Web continues to develop into a platform for communication and collaboration, voice will emerge as a ubiquitous channel," said JAJAH Co-founder, Roman Scharf. "Our mission is to develop the most innovative solutions with the many technology and service vendors who are defining the future of work and life on the Web. Joyent is certainly one of those companies, and we are pleased to be working with them."

"Many vendors in the collaboration software market have paid lip service to 'Office 2.0,' but voice – one of the most important tools in communication – has been left out of the conversation," said David Young, founder and CEO of Joyent. "With JAJAH embedded into Connector, our customers now have a tool that potentially can enhance communication, collaboration and productivity."

The JAJAH/Joyent partnership is the first of several Voice 2.0 announcements that JAJAH will make over the next several quarters in areas as diverse as Web-based phone directories, customer support, social networking, and identity management.
