Barbeques Galore Expands in Los Angeles with new store in Simi Valley

At Barbeques Galore, grilling is the center of attention and on March 17 and18th, the company will host the grand opening celebration of its eleventh store in the greater Los Angeles area. Located at 1555 Simi Town Center Way #H3 in Simi Valley, the new Barbeques Galore superstore will feature dozens of grills and more than 1,000 accessories, sauces and grilling items, as well as friendly, expert staff. The new store's hours are Monday through Friday, 10 am - 8 pm, Saturday 10 am – 6 pm and Sunday 11 am - 6 pm.

To celebrate the opening, nationally known chefs Obie Cue, founder and creator of the award-winning Obie Cue line of rubs, and Brian Boulet, Cajun chef and creator of Cajun Blast sauces, will host cooking class demos on Saturday, March 16 from 10 am – 6 pm and Sunday, March 17 from 11 am – 1 pm. The demos and sampling are free.

An award-winning competitive griller and holder of three national barbecue titles, Obie Cue brings a distinctive larger-than-life but easy-as-pie Texas style to his grilling. The 6-foot-10 Texan strives to teach people how to grill simply delicious food at home using the right seasoning and quality ingredients. Louisiana native and creator of Cajun Blast basting sauces, Brian Boulet is a well-known Cajun and Creole chef who still cooks with his great-grandmother’s recipes. During the Barbeques Galore grand opening, Obie Cue will be demonstrating:
- smoked salmon in cabbage leaves
- grilled Portobello mushrooms with Steakmaker
- smoked ribs, and more.

And Brian Boulet will be demonstrating:

- oyster, artichoke and crawfish bisque,
- chicken, shrimp and oyster ombrochettes,
- jambalaya, etoufee and more.

In addition to the grilling demonstrations, Barbeques Galore will be giving away a complete Newport grill island provided by OLP with a Turbo STS 3-burner grill and 26” doors. Other prizes include a Weber Q Grill, as well as marinades and sauces.
