Los Angeles, Calif. (March 2007) – Creator Angela Marie Hutchinson announces the pre-release of her first children's picture book. Charm Kids will be published by an Amazon.com company and available this April. The story was created to encourage youth to share their gifts and talents with the world. The Charm Kids' franchise has several creative entities, including the live-action and animated screenplay, also written by Hutchinson and inspired by her life experiences with youth.

Charm Kids is about a young girl who questions the reason for her existence after losing her mother. When she is selected to attend an adventure camp in Hawaii with a diverse group of campers, she and her lively team are challenged to discover their special gifts, which ultimately reveals the true meaning of life.

“Obvious strong appeal to kids and family. Good message [story]. Combines both adventure and a moral to it.” -Retired Warner Bros. Executive

“The screenplay has a good contextual platform, realistically depicting camp life and activities and combining that with a fairly compelling charm world. The characters are well-defined and their interaction is solid and fun” -Triggerstreet.com Review

Parents and children are encouraged to visit the Charm Kids' website at www.thecharmkids.com. Kids can interact with the story's characters by playing the online maze game or participate in the demo sing-a-long video. Also, applications are now being accepted for the Charm Kids' Club.

Hutchinson developed the idea of Charm Kids several years ago. While she worked as an academic director for a national computer camp and as a former girl scout leader, she was often asked the question by campers, “Why are we here, on earth?” Hutchinson created Charm Kids as an answer to that purpose-driven life question. Hutchinson earned her B.S.E. in Industrial Operations Engineering from the University of Michigan and a Cross-Media Journalism certificate from USC. She has written several published articles and received an International Poet of Merit Award. Currently, Hutchinson is developing other passion projects and enjoys mentoring youth in her leisure time. She resides in Sherman Oaks, California with her husband Arthur.
