moxie DaDA presents "Connect" by artists Joana Ricou and Alison Hoge

EXPERIENTIAL, INTERACTIVE, MIXED MEDIA & ABSTRACT WORKS BY
ALLISON HOGE & JOAN RICOU.

The third annual CONNECT exhibit will be held at Breath Yoga Studio to celebrate Breath's 3rd year anniversary! For the past two years, moxie DaDA has hosted this exhibit at its own location with Breathe instructors visiting the gallery for classes. This year, after careful thought, directors Christine Whispell of moxie DaDA and Kristi Rogers of Breathe Yoga Studio believe CONNECT will be favored in Breathe Yoga Studio's more accommodating environment and will be
attended by a greater number of people. Artists, Allison Hoge and Joana Ricou, have been hand picked for this exhibit. Their works in orange and blue oil are abstract and expressive. All work is for sale through moxie DaDA. Other work by the artists will also be on display at moxie DaDA's location on the North Side.

This exhibit explores the effect color has on mind, body and spirit by incorporating basic yoga and meditation upon the chakras.

Second and Fifth Chakras:

Second Chakra: associated with the area of the womb and spleen, governs creativity and emotion. This chakra is
represented by the color orange. Fifth Chakra: associated with the area of the throat, governs communication
and personal magnetism, passion. This chakra is represented by the color blue. With the aid of art as the visual
stimulant, moxie DaDA and Breathe Yoga Studio will explore the energies and effects of color as well as explore
yoga's benefits to a more balanced life style.
