Morrison is widely known for his expertise in all aspects of U.S. and international patent prosecution in the biotechnology and pharmaceutical industries.

He has represented numerous universities, research institutes and corporations, helping them protect such groundbreaking inventions as recombinant antibodies, catalytic nucleic acids, microarrays, targeted stem cell delivery methods and DNA sequencing techniques. He also has prepared opinions and counseled clients on issues of patentability, inventorship, infringement and invalidity.

Morrison speaks Chinese and has lectured extensively in the U.S., Europe, Asia and Africa on a variety of U.S. patent law topics.

He received his B.A. in Biochemistry at the University of California – Berkeley, an M.S. in Biological Chemistry from the University of Michigan, his M.Phil. in Biochemistry and Molecular Biophysics from Columbia University and his J.D. from Yeshiva University. He is admitted to practice in New York and before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. Additionally, he is a member of the American Intellectual Property Law Association, the New York Intellectual Property Law Association and the American Bar Association.
