Wickenburg Businesses and Attractions Achieving Valley-wide Recognition

WICKENBURG, AZ – Five Wickenburg businesses and attractions have been nominated to compete in the Arizona Republic and azcentral.com’s “1st Annual Reader’s Choice Awards.” Local businesses nominated include the Del E. Webb Center for the Performing Arts (Best Live Music Venue), the Gold Nugget Art Gallery (Best Art Gallery), the Desert Caballeros Western Museum (Best Art Gallery), the Hassayampa River Preserve (Best Place to Hike – West Valley) and Quarter Horse Antiques (Best Antique Shop). Votes may be cast online at http://best.azcentral.com through April 10.

“This is a great opportunity for our local businesses to gain Valley-wide recognition,” explained Ivan Schustak, Program Services Manager at the Webb Center. “Wickenburg is such a unique town and we should be proud to vote for our local favorites.”

To cast a ballot, point a web browser to http://best.azcentral.com. In the teal colored text, select Shopping/Services to vote for Quarter Horse Antiques. Select Arts & Entertainment to vote for the Del E. Webb Center for the Performing Arts, the Gold Nugget Art Gallery and/or the Desert Caballeros Western Museum. Select West Valley to vote for the Hassayampa River Preserve. After voting in a category, the current standings will be displayed.

Businesses and attractions were selected to compete through open nominations earlier this year. Those with the most nominations were put on official ballots at http://best.azcentral.com beginning March 13 through April 10 when voting closes. Votes may be cast twice each day. Winners receive the title of “AZCentral.com’s Best” and may be spotlighted in the Arizona Republic or affiliated media.
