Xlibris Author Named a Finalist in ForeWord Magazine’s Book of the Year Awards

Traverse City, MI – Xlibris author Jameela Alter, author of On Clipped Wings, was chosen as one of the finalists in ForeWord Magazine’s 8th Annual Book of the Year Awards.

ForeWord Magazine created the Book of the Year Awards to bring increased attention from librarians and booksellers to the literary success of independent publishers and their authors. This program was designed to discover distinctive books from different genres with judgment based on their own authority and on customer interests. A panel of librarians and booksellers will determine the winners from 698 finalists.

Born in Calcutta, India, Alter now teaches in a Montessori school in Bowie, Maryland, where she lives with her husband and two daughters.
