Revolutionary Dyson hand dryer available from Cannon Hygiene

March 25, 2007 (PRLEAP.COM) Business News
A breakthrough in hand dryer technology, the Dyson Airblade ™, overcomes all of the disadvantages of conventional hot air dryers which simply heat up and recirculate contaminated washroom air. It also promises savings in energy and maintenance for washroom owners and operators at a time of soaring energy costs.

Now available in the UK from Cannon Hygiene, the revolutionary invention actively filters incoming air to remove 99.9% of bacteria before blasting a blade of unheated air at 400 mph through an aperture the width of an eyelash. It dries hands at least twice as fast as any other dryer.

The space-age design incorporates a Dyson digital motor which uses up to 83% less energy than heated air dryers and it is guaranteed for parts and labour for five years. Even after adding capital outlay and maintenance, the new Dyson system promises typical savings of 20% over other hand dryers and a massive 97% over paper hand towels.

For the user of the Dyson Airblade ™, there are significant advantages in hygiene and dryer efficiency. Whilst other hand dryers blast contaminated waste water on to the floor or the user’s clothes, the new Dyson hand dryer collects waste water and passes it through an advanced disinfection system before releasing it as a harmless invisible mist. The washed hands are effectively dried in around ten seconds by the purified air and no rubbing is required. The dryer operates automatically when hands are inserted or removed.

Delighted that Cannon Hygiene has been selected to distribute the Dyson Airblade™ in the UK, divisional manager director Adrian Shuker said, “This is a major breakthrough in hand drying technology from a world class design and technology company. It promises to change the way that washrooms look as well as bringing new standards of efficiency and hygiene into the washroom environment.”

Dyson are renowned for innovative new technology with an emphasis on product functionality, and are well known for their bagless vacuum cleaner. Engineers at their UK Research, Design and Development Centre spent three years developing, testing and refining the new technology. After rigorous proving trials, they commissioned independent hygiene specialists to benchmark it against other hand dryers in tests which included sampling bacteria levels in and around traditional dryer units. Their conclusion revealed that the commonly used conventional dryers are not only unhygienic compared with the new technology but also expose users to potentially serious health hazards.

Other features of the new Dyson dryer include silencing technology for minimal noise levels, a robust aluminium die-cast casing, sealed ergonomic design for easy cleaning, lifetime filter impregnated with antimicrobial additives and an energy efficient 1600w Dyson digitally controlled motor.

Dyson Airblade™ can be ordered direct from Cannon Hygiene on 0800 328 3695 or through the local Cannon Hygiene representative.
