Imagine being young again with a whole summer stretched out in front of you full of promise. Unlike regular school and day-to-day life, a touch of anything being possible must certainly come into play. Do you remember dreaming about joining a dance camp or a singing camp or an art camp?

Philamena School of Dance is now announcing they will be putting on a summer camp. This Barrie summer camp will take place over the first five weeks of the summer. Run by Phyllis Ventresca and another certified Ontario teacher, it promises an amazing time for all attendees.

"We thought about mixing it up. Our school has been headed toward becoming a full fine arts school. Right now, we offer dancing and singing but in the fall, we hope to add art," says Ventresca.

So this summer camp will offer it all. Groups will rotate through so that they will get a session of dance, a session of singing, a session of cooking with a culinary genius as well as a session of arts and crafts.

"This is the minimum," says Ventresca. "But don't worry, we plan to add water events, lots of outside time and our camp will feature a healthy lunch and two snacks. As in, sign me up too!"

Ventresca has been running this school for the past eight years, having started out purely from her love of dance. People that know her admire her passion for teaching dance and love her flare with children.

A typical meeting with Ventresca brings students to classes as parents love the way she adores her students and gets the job done while respecting their individuality.
