Morgan Lovell Goes CarbonNeutral®

March 29, 2007 (PRLEAP.COM) Business News
As plans were unveiled recently to make Britain the first country to set legally binding limits on carbon pollution, office transformation specialist, Morgan Lovell, has announced its decision to tackle climate change with a CarbonNeutral® programme.

The office design firm, which has offices in London, Birmingham, Bristol and Wokingham, has committed to reducing its energy usage and carbon output with the help of The CarbonNeutral Company, as part of a wider focus on sustainability.

In doing so, Morgan Lovell has weighed up and assessed the emissions of its business and taken positive steps to offset their impact on the environment by investing in renewable energy schemes including National Forestry and overseas projects.

As well as looking at office energy use generally, Morgan Lovell surveyed its staff on a range of elements including their commuting distances and methods of transportation, courier deliveries and hotel accommodation.

David Henderson, managing director for Morgan Lovell, says, “Being awarded The CarbonNeutral® brand mark is an important part of Morgan Lovell’s wider sustainability initiative. The process has been a very positive one, not only in terms of doing our bit to save the environment, but also in improving efficiency and positively engaging with our staff.”
