March 30, 2007 (PRLEAP.COM) Entertainment News
Six Lakeview art galleries will unite for the third annual Art View in Lakeview progressive art tour 5 p.m. to 10 p.m., Friday, April 20. Coined “Chicago’s trendy north side artist corridor,” the Lakeview area has been growing in popularity as a destination for fine art. The “art crawl” is complimentary and open to all.

There will be two Chicago Trolleys available to transport guests from one gallery to another throughout the evening. Organizers recommend selecting a starting point of your choice to meet friends and proceed to the next gallery by getting on and off the complimentary trolley. The event is on-going and open structured. Participating galleries are located on Roscoe, Halsted, Clark, Diversey and Broadway streets.

Enjoy works of art while sampling wines, coffees, and a variety of delicious appetizers from local merchants while visiting each gallery.

The tour is complimentary and people are welcome to buy art that evening if they desire.

The event is sponsored by Lake View East Chamber of Commerce, Northalsted Area Merchant Association, Shirts Illustrated, North Community Bank, and Central Lakeview Merchants Association. Co-sponsors include El Nuevo Mexicano, Firefly Restaurant, Aladdin’s Eatery, House of Fine Chocolates, and Johnny O’Hagan's Irish Restaurant & Pub.
