New Vice President for Thieme Publishers

Stuttgart/New York, April 2007 – Thieme Publishers is pleased to announce the appointment of Cornelia Schulze as Vice President, International Marketing and Sales. She will be based in Stuttgart and be responsible for marketing and sales activities for both the New York and the Stuttgart offices. The new vice president, who assumes her role on May 1, 2007, will report directly to the Thieme Publishers President Brian D. Scanlan.

Currently, Cornelia Schulze is Publishing Director at Pabel-Moewig Verlag, based in Rastatt Germany, where she is in charge of 30 magazines and oversees a staff of 20. Prior to joining Pabel-Moewig, she was Marketing Manager at EuroTransport Media, a trade journal publisher. Her impressive resume includes work as a pharmaceutical sales representative with the Munich office of Merck. Additionally, she worked at the Rahway, New Jersey, office of Merck in the long-range operating planning unit.

Cornelia Schulze brings an abundance of experience in international business and sales with her to the position. She holds a degree in Business Administration from the Berufsakademie Stuttgart as well as a Master's in International Business from the University of South Carolina.
