PassingThroughIndia.com, the popular travel blog site about visiting India, announces the release of its first screensaver, "Images of India." The new screensaver includes two dozen images representative of incredible India from the magnificent Taj Mahal to the snow-capped Himalayas of northern Sikkim to Kerala's serene backwater lagoons. Included among the selection are photos that have placed as finalists in Lonely Planet's photo competitions.

Photos from the Images of India screensaver are included in travel writer and photographer Lee Gimpel's traveling photo exhibition. Most recently it was on display at the Center for Creative Leadership in Greensboro, NC. Through June it will be at the Capital One corporate campus in Richmond, VA.

"India is a very photogenic country and my photos have proven to be a very popular part of the PassingThroughIndia.com site. Incorporating part of the collection as a pre-packaged screensaver came about after I'd heard that people were already using the photos as wallpaper backgrounds. This seemed to be a good way to share the photos," says Gimpel.

The free screensaver supports Windows 98, ME, 2000 and XP. It provides dozens of customizable options with respect to photo transitions and speed.

Images of India is currently available at www.PassingThroughIndia.com/india_screensavers.html as well as on more than 400 software web sites including Download.com and TechRepublic.com.
