Micro Power Electronics Presents at Design of Medical Devices Conference

(PRLEAP.COM) BEAVERTON, Ore., Apr 2007 – Micro Power Electronics, Inc. announced today that Dr. Robin Sarah Tichy, technical marketing manager for Micro Power, will present at the sixth annual Design of Medical Devices Conference on April 17, 2007 at 10:30 a.m. at the Radisson University Hotel in Minneapolis, MN.

Dr. Tichy will discuss reliable power for life-sustaining devices. She will present along with co-panelists Ramesh Harjani of University of Minnesota, Lynn Ihlenfeldt of Minnetronix and Bertan Bakkaloglu of Arizona State University. The panel will be moderated by Richard Nazarian, President and CEO of Minnetronix.

The Design of Medical Devices Conference is presented by The University of Minnesota’s Biomedical Engineering Institute, Institute of Technology, Academic Health Center, Office of the President, and the Department of Mechanical Engineering. The conference includes two days of technical/clinical sessions and the one-day 4th Annual President’s 21st Century Interdisciplinary Conference. The conference strives to promote the medical device industry, to provide a forum to bring medical device designers, manufacturers, researchers, and representatives from the public sector together to share perspectives on medical devices, and to raise funds from corporate sponsorships to endow graduate fellowships in medical device design.
